How to Restore the Clarity in Your Clear Packs

How to Restore the Clarity in Your Clear Packs

Written by Leo Wong, lunchbox team member

After a few uses of your Clear Lunchbox Hydration Pack, Clear Lite Pack, or Clear Mini Pack, or Clear Snack Pack, you may have noticed that some of the material is not as clear. That could be caused by a variety of things from dust, sweat, hard water, etc.

The good news is, we have a quick an easy solution to get your packs nice and clear for your next event!

Materials Needed:

  • Your Clear Hydration or Snack Pack
  • A neutral cooking oil like olive or vegetable
  • A microfiber cloth or two

Step 1

Wash your pack in your washer following the steps we have outlined here.

Step 2

Allow your pack to air dry fully. Or if you're in a rush, you can use one of the microfiber cloths to dry all of the clear panels on your pack.

Step 3

Dab a generous amount of oil onto a clean microfiber cloth.

Step 4

Using circular motions, rub the oil into the clear material. Fully complete one side of the material, then do the other side after.

Step 5

Using a clean part of the cloth or a clean cloth, "buff" the clear material by gently going over all areas where you rubbed oil with the clean cloth to remove any excess oil.

Step 6

Repeat steps 3-5 as needed to achieve optimal clarity. Images shown here are only after one cycle each of using a cloth with oil and a clean cloth, so you likely won't need more than 2 cycles.
