As someone who has been in the rave scene for over a decade, I have gone through my fair share of rave styles in trying to find a rave style that felt authentic to me. The rave scene is the best place to express yourself and test the limits by wearing what you want to wear. No rules or judgments on the dance floor when it comes to what you’re wearing. It can be overwhelming to find a rave style that suits you based on what you see others wearing or what’s on social media. Here are some simple ways you can hone in on your rave style and accompany it with the perfect lunchbox pack! 

Step 1. Explore

Scour the internet and social media to gather inspiration. Check out different brands and creators on Instagram and TikTok or even check out various boards on Pinterest or Collections on Amazon. You can search for a specific festival that you’re attending to get inspiration and see what others wear. From this exploration, you can make a mood board or compile examples of styles you like. There are various rave apparel brands like iHeartReaves, VibeWire, and Freedom Rave Wear that you can shop directly from. But if you are working with a budget or want something more unique, you can build your own outfit by acquiring pieces from different stores or even creating your own! 

Step 2. Experiment

Once you’ve done some exploration, the fun part can begin of experimenting with a style or two based on your research. Like I’ve mentioned I’ve gone from Kandi raver to comfy cute to techno queen and everything in between. With each event, I’ve tried out a different style or a different brand to see how I like that style. Not to say you need a new outfit for every event, but you can also invest in some solid rave basics that allow you to mix and match outfits. Nonetheless, going to events is the perfect experimenting field in finding your rave style and being able to express yourself. Have fun with it this should be a fun process! And remember, you're on your feet dancing your heart out most of the time, so make sure you consider both fashion and function.

Step 3. Elevate

Finally, once you’ve identified your go-to rave style or a few rave styles to play within, that’s where you can even elevate from there. You can find fun ways to accessorize, DIY, and find other unique items in that style to build upon your base rave style. I feel like I was able to find fun hats or jewelry to accessorize with or even different types of shoes to take my outfits to the next level. This includes what kind of packs you wear!
